The marine engineering team carried out mechanical maintenance and repair of the winch assembly, focusing on the jammed pin and braking system. The jammed pin was carefully extracted using appropriate mechanical removal techniques to minimise damage to surrounding components. The winch brake assembly was accessed, and the existing brake pads were removed and replaced with suitable replacement components. General winch servicing was undertaken, including attention to mechanical components, moving parts and overall operational condition. The repair work addressed the mechanical jamming issue and brake maintenance requirements.
